25 years ago, the faculty from the Departments of Radiodiagnosis of the three premier institutes of the country, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS, New Delhi), Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC), New Delhi, and Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, joined hands in an unique endeavour, that led to the first AIIMS-MAMC-PGI Teaching Course Series in the year 1996. The rapid advances in imaging make it a challenge for the students and practitioners to keep abreast and up-to-date with the latest developments. To incorporate such changes, the current edition of the book dedicated to Musculoskeletal and Breast imaging has evolved into a textbook with 29 chapters.
